If you’re ready to kick the donuts, fries, pizza, ice cream, chips, candy, soft drinks or your chocolate mocha espresso off of your daily menu, you gotta put something else in their place. Diets either have you going “cold turkey” or they give you complicated eating schedules and you have to shop for special foods. Try this instead.
What do you usually drink? Do you drink Coke, Pepsi or some other sweetened drink? Soft drinks are one of the big reasons people are overweight and in poor health. When you drink tea and plain water they don’t satisfy the same and we all like that bubbly, carbonated feel so switch to club soda. Go to the grocery store and buy a few bottles of club soda or mineral water, (not tonic water). You want to buy the bubbly water with no sugar or calories. When you feel like drinking a soft drink, grab a cold soda water instead. Make sure it’s cold and add a slice of lemon and you’ll find it’s more refreshing than a Coke and it has zero calories.
There’s one problem you’ll run into because most fast food places don’t have just plain soda so do what I do. Every morning I take some club soda from my refrigerator and put it in the plastic cooler in my car. I’ll bet you already have a picnic cooler in your garage. Whenever you’re ready to drink a Coke, drink some club soda along with it. Alternate your sips. This also works great with beer or any other alcoholic drinks.
I personally quit drinking soda pop years ago but whenever I’m ready to drink a beer, I open a bottle of club soda and drink some of that first. Cold soda water helps me drink less beer because, let’s face it, you can only fit so much liquid in you before you’re full and don’t want to drink anymore.
It doesn’t get any easier than this. When you want a Coke or a beer, grab a club soda. You’ll also save lots of money. Soda water is a lot cheaper than Coke and other drinks.
Here’s tip number two. Start your day with a fiber / protein shake especially if you don’t have time for breakfast. The fiber protein shake will give you energy and you’ll feel full enough to avoid eating empty calorie junk food. Check the website, ezwayfatloss.com. Some people like to use a blender and throw in fruit but the key to losing weight is to keep it simple. Will these two tips actually help you lose twenty pounds this month? I don’t know but even if you only lose five or ten you’ll be moving in the right direction. Fill up on good stuff and there won’t be any room for the bad stuff and this will work for you.
