Monday, August 15th, I was driving around Riverside County in 102 degree heat. I was helping a woman who had lost her house in foreclosure, had no money, and no place to stay. She was looking for a friend or relative to give her a place to sleep for a few weeks.
This woman is only 5’ tall and about 300 lbs. She had swollen calves due to edema, (water retention). I gave her a bottle of water but she never opened it. I drank about 96 ounces of water myself while driving her around.
We drove around from 1:15 PM till 9:30 PM and she never ate, never drank anything and never went to the bathroom.
Her body was hanging onto fat because it didn’t know when it was going to get food again! The same thing with the water.
The point of the story is not only can you lose weight without starving yourself, but when you don’t eat protein every few hours you will lose lean tissue and store body fat when you do finally eat. This is the key. When you’re full of good stuff you don’t have room for the bad stuff.
