And I did it without trying and without dieting and I didn’t have much fat to lose to begin with. What did I do?
In 2016 I did over 26,000 pullups/chin-ups but this was only my estimate so on New Years Day 2017, I started counting my pullups each day. (See, this is what happens when you don’t golf). By March 16th I had done 10,001 pull ups. I took a break March 17th, and drank Guinness instead. When I went to the gym after St Patrick’s Day I weighed about five pounds less than on New Years Day.
Don’t worry, the EZ Way Fat Loss plan does NOT require you to do thousands of pull-ups, only an easy 5 minute workout you do while listening to your favorite music.
I eat whenever I get the urge and usually drink one or two beers a day but I don’t eat junk. I drink two fiber protein shakes each day and eat mostly vegetables, fruit, fish, chicken and whole grain bread and sometimes a burger but I don’t eat any fried foods.
I lost weight because I added a little muscle tissue. Each pound of lean muscle tissue uses up between 25 to 75 calories a day. If you develop just five pounds of lean muscle tissue you will burn up about 250 extra calories a day, 7,500 calories a month. Since a pound of body fat is equal to 3,500 calories, you will lose over two pounds per month just by building some extra muscle.
I turn 72 years old this year and I’m working to reach 72 chin ups without stopping. I am doing about 55 now. When I figure out how to film videos, I’ll post some showing my progress.
